The University of Nevada athletics department offers a Summer Bridge Program which is designed to help incoming freshman athletes get acclimated to campus life. The athletes take a few summer classes to get the feel of the classroom prior to a full academic load in the fall. One of the main focusses of the program is making the athletes feel comfortable being on campus and knowing where buildings are located and what services are available.

The program meets four days a week and various guest speakers address the group on numerous topics related to campus life and being a student-athlete at Nevada. In addition the academic and compliance staff conduct individual workshops.

Three incoming Wolf Pack freshman; Josh Hall, Devearl Ramsey and David Kyle are enrolled in the Summer Bridge Program.
