University of Nevada head men's basketball coach Eric Musselman and members of his staff attended the recently held 48th Governor's Dinner hosted by Governor Brain Sandoval and first lady Kathleen at the Governor's Mason in Carson City. All proceeds from the Governor's Dinner benefit Wolf Pack student-athlete scholarships.
Featured speaker was current TNT, NBA analyst Kenny "The Jet" Smith. Coach Musselman's wife, Danyelle was the master of ceremonies. Danyelle was a television reporter with ESPN, Fox Sports, NFL Network and Yahoo! Sports.
The dinner had a basketball theme following the success of Musselman's first Wolf Pack team that captured the College Basketball Invitational. The squad is the first Nevada and Mountain West men's basketball team to win a postseason national tournament. The Wolf Pack posted a 24-14 record, a 15 win improvement from the previous season.
