RENO, Nev. - Current Nevada men's golfer Corey Eddings will begin play in the U.S. Amateur Four-Ball tournament this Saturday.
This year's tournament is being held at Winged Foot Golf Club in Mamaroneck, N.Y., the site of many past PGA Tour major championships including the 2006 U.S. Open.
Eddings and his partner, Austin Spicer, qualified for the tournament back in November with a round of 62 at Avondale Golf Club in Palm Desert, Calif. Their combined round of 62 was the low round in the qualifying session.
They will tee off for Saturday's first round of stroke play at 12:06 p.m. EST and face Brian Dreier and Gary Robinson. Round two of stroke play will begin at 8:42 a.m. EST on Sunday for the duo. If they advance through the stroke play rounds they will then begin match play format in the round of 32.
The Wolf Pack sophomore should be riding momentum into this tournament after the conclusion of his season with Nevada. Eddings earned the runner-up finish at this year's Mountain West Championship after leading the field the first two days. He finished at 7-under par overall and recorded his best conference championship finish.
The final two days, the quarterfinal matches and semifinal and championship matches, will be broadcast on Fox Sports 1.
