Day One Results

MARICOPA, Ariz. - After two rounds of play at the Cowgirl Classic, sophomore Celyn Khoo is two shots behind the leader with one round to be played on Tuesday.

"Celyn and Caryn played well today. It's nice to see Caryn rebound and play well," said head coach Kathleen Takaishi. "We had a few big holes that hurt us, but we know the course a little bit better now. We need to adjust our game plan and make better decisions."

Khoo fired back-to-back 1-under par rounds of 71 on Monday and currently has sole possession of second place in the 110-player field. She is chasing Annie Freman of Santa Clara who carded two rounds of 70 and owns the individual lead at 4-under par. Khoo is one of just four players to finish under par through the two rounds. She totaled seven birdies on the day, including three on the back nine of her second round.
