RENO, Nev. - The University of Nevada (4-11, 0-1 MW) men's tennis team dropped is Mountain West opener 4-0 to San Diego State (7-11, 2-0 MW) at Caughlin Club on Friday afternoon. The Wolf Pack fell to 4-11 on the season and while the Aztecs improved to 7-11, 2-0 in MW action.
Nevada hosts UNLV (8-6, 2-0 MW) on Sunday at noon in a Governor's Series matchup.
The Pack's #1 doubles team got the match started by blanking the SDSU duo 6-0. The Aztecs evened the doubles competition with a 6-2 victory on court three. The doubles point would come down to the #2 doubles match that went to a tiebreaker won by SDSU 7-4 as Milen Ianakiev and Santiago Cevallos defeated Robert Margitfalvi and Mile Cilic.
SDSU took the first three completed singles matches to win 4-0. Goles-Babic defeated Allan 6-2, 6-2 on court five in the first completed match. Nevada's Peter O'Donovan lost 6-1, 6-1 at #4 singles and Cilic fell 6-2, 6-2 on court two in the clinching match.
