Day two results

RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. - The Nevada women's golf team matched its round one total of 310 on day two of the 2016 Mountain West Championship and sit in seventh place with one round remaining.

The Wolf Pack sits at 44-over through two days after back-to-back team scores of 310. Nevada is five strokes ahead of Boise State and is well ahead of ninth place Wyoming. Colorado State has a six shot advantage over the Pack for sixth place. No. 17 UNLV leads the team standings by nine shots over Fresno State. The Rebels are the only team in the field to shoot two rounds below 300.

Individually for the Pack sophomore Celyn Khoo leads the way in a tie for ninth in the 45-player field. She carded a 3-over round of 75 for a second straight day, making 13 pars and one birdie during her morning. Khoo is 6-over for the tournament, two shots back from cracking into the top-five and seven shots behind the leader.

Senior Caryn Khoo is just behind her sister on the leaderboard in a tie for 12th after she compiled a round of 76 earlier today. She was cruising along in her round but ran into some trouble on holes 14-16, playing those three at 3-over par. Freshman Chaithra Katamneni led the Pack by sinking three birdie putts but also ran into two doubles on the back-9 which led to a round of 78. Junior Hannah Gregg carded an 81 on day two and sits in a tie for 36th and freshman Kaitlin Collom is tied for 41st after an 81 on Tuesday.

Alexandra Kaui of UNLV birdied the final hole of her round to claim the clubhouse lead at 1-under par heading into the third and final round. She is the only player in the field under par and leads Katrina Prendergast of Colorado State by one shot.
