WBCA Release
ATLANTA, Ga. - The Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) announced its 2016 WBCA Victory Club Award recipients with Nevada coach Jane Albright among those honored.
The WBCA Victory Club Award is presented annually to each WBCA-member head coach (high school and college) who achieves career wins of 200, 300, 400, 500 or more, in 100-victory increments, during the current season. Albright collected career win No. 500 back on Jan. 27 thanks to the Wolf Pack's 70-64 road win at San Diego State. She is among 56 to receive the award in total and is among 11 who joined the 500 club.
Albright just wrapped up her 32nd year as a Division I head coach. Nevada is Albright's fourth head coaching stop as she began her career at Northern Illinois (1984-94) and moved on to Wisconsin (1994-2003) and Wichita State (2003-08) prior to coming to Reno. She has made nine NCAA Tournament appearances, five WNIT appearances and won the WNIT with Wisconsin in the 1999-2000 season.
