RENO, Nev. - The University of Nevada (4-10) men's tennis team dropped its home opener 7-0 to UC Davis (14-3) at Caughlin Club today. The Wolf Pack is now 4-10 on the season while the Aggies improved to 14-3.
Next action for the Pack is Apr. 1 when San Diego State comes to Reno to begin Mountain West play. The match will be played at Caughlin Club at noon.
UCD started the match by winning all three doubles pairings. The Aggies clinched the point with a 6-4 victory at #1 doubles when Alec Adamson and Adam Levie defeated Andrew Poustie and Mile Cilic.
The Aggies won all six singles matches to make the final score 7-0. Three of the matches were decided in straight sets while the other went three.
Jess Ross clinched the match for the Aggies with a 6-4, 7-6 (7-5) victory on court six. Adamson defeated Poustie 6-3, 6-1 at #2 doubles in the first completed match. Brett Bacharach took the #4 singles 6-4, 6-3 over Peter O'Donovan to put UCD up 3-0.
