SEAL BEACH, Calif. - The Nevada women's golf team shrugged off a first-round 309 with a second-round 300 and moved into ninth place at the Gold Rush, hosted by Long Beach State.
Caryn Khoo came back with a 72 in the afternoon after a first-round 78 and sits in a tie for 24th place to lead the Wolf Pack. Four of Nevada's five players were better in round two as the Pack shaved off nine strokes overall between the rounds.
The Wolf Pack was boosted by a pair of eagles as Caryn Khoo eagled the par-5 sixth hole and Dupont eagled the par-5 ninth. For Khoo, it was her second eagle of the season and third of her career as she moved up to second place in school history at Nevada, behind Hall of Famer Angie Yoon. It was Dupont's first eagle at Nevada.

Celyn Khoo is a shot back of her sister and tied for 30th after a 76-75. Hannah Gregg is tied for 38th, two back of Celyn Khoo. Bertille DuPont is tied for 45th and Chaithra Katamneni is tied for 50th with 18 holes to play. USC leads the team race, followed by Fresno State and the host school, Long Beach State.
