SANTA CRUZ, Calif. - The Nevada men's golf team got off to a good start to the spring semester with a defeat of Colorado State in a dual match played at famed Pasatiempo Golf Course.

The teams each played six golfers with the lowest four scores counting toward the team score and Nevada, led by Grant Booth's 3-under 67, best the Rams by six shots as Nevada shot 283 and CSU shot 289.

"The guys did a nice job out there today," head coach Jacob Wilner said. "This was the start to the semester that we wanted."

Travis Fredborg shot 70 for the Pack with Jooho Lee shooting 72 and Corey Eddings coming in with a 74.

CSU's low score came from Blake Cannon with a 70, followed by Colton Yates (71), Max Olfke (73) and Jimmy Makloski (75).

Next up for the Pack is the National Invitational Tournament with a top caliber field in Tucson, Ariz., beginning Sunday.
