TUCSON, Ariz. -- The University of Nevada (2-5) men's tennis team fell 6-1 to Denver University (6-2) on Saturday in Tucson, Ariz. The Wolf Pack went 0-3 in three matches in Arizona and stand at 2-5 on the season. The Pioneers improved to 6-2.
Next action for the Wolf Pack is March 11-13 at the Golden State Invitational in Sacramento.
Denver secured the doubles point winning on courts 1 and 2. The Pioneer's Alex Gasson and Henry Craig defeated the Pack's Robert Allan and Aaron Breust 6-3 in the #1 doubles match. Diogo Rocha and Yannik James knocked off Nevada's Mile Cilic and Peter O'Donovan 6-1 on court 2. Nevada earned a victory at #3 doubles when Robert Margitfalvi and Ryan Andrada scored a 6-2 victory over David Fox and Jesse Ruder-Hook.
The Pioneers won five of the six singles match to earn the 6-1 victory. Breust scored the Pack' point with a 3-6, 6-2, 1-0 victory in #6 singles. Andrada, Cilic, O'Donovan, Margitfalvi and Allan all fell in straight sets in singles matches 1-5 respectively.
