STANFORD, Calif. - Celyn Khoo opened with a 76 and freshman Chaithra Katamneni was a shot back as Nevada is in 10th place in a strong field at the Peg Barnard Invitational hosted by Stanford.

The final round is Sunday at Stanford Golf Course.

Celyn Khoo is tied for 34th with Katamneni two spots back after the first round. Caryn Khoo shot 79 and is tied for 48 with teammate Bertille DuPont. Freshman Michelle Duan is tied for 56th after an 81.

In addition to the host Cardinal, which is ranked No. 3 in the nation, the field includes No. 16 Washington, No. 22 Cal, No. 24 Colorado, Denver, Fresno State, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oregon, San Jose State, UC Davis and USF.

Oregon leads the team race, followed by Stanford, Cal and Washington.
