RENO, Nev.
- Riding 57 second-half points to victory, the Nevada Wolf Pack (3-1) topped the Iona Gaels (0-2) Sunday night to finish the three-game homestand with three straight wins.

Five Pack players found themselves with double digits in the points column with sophomore Cameron Oliver leading the way with 22 points. Just behind him was junior Elijah Foster who set a career high with 21 points and logged his second double-double of the season with 10 rebounds. Senior Marcus Marshall hasn't scored in the single digits all season after putting up 20 point against the Gaels. Stringing together back-to-back double-doubles, sophomore Jordan Caroline put up 15 points and 13 rebounds. Rounding out the strong starting five was Lindsey Drew with 11 points. Oliver also recorded four blocks to get to 110 in his career, moving him past Sean Paul for sixth all-time in Nevada history.

The Gaels claimed the lead from the top, going up 4-0. However, five quick points from Foster and Oliver, who got a three point play after the and-one, put Nevada up 5-4. Iona would regain the lead prior to the first media timeout, leading the Pack 9-7 with 15:44 to play. The Gaels wouldn't budge on their lead, going in at the half up 44-34.

The second half started off much better for the Wolf Pack as a scoreless 3:30 for Iona allowed the home team to cut the deficit in half, down 46-41 with 16:35 to play. As points continued to be traded back and forth, Nevada found themselves down four with senior Marcus Marshall at the line. He drained both free throws to bring Nevada within two 50-47 with 13:48 on the clock. With a big defensive stop at the other end, the ball found Marshall, and Marshall found the net from deep, hitting the three and putting Nevada up 51-50 for its first lead since 17:33 in the first half. The Pack's run would end at 11-0 to put Nevada up 56-50. Iona continued to apply the pressure, but Pack player after Pack player went into double figures in the score column. Finding a lane, Foster charged toward the rim and drained a layup as he got fouled. His 21 points after the play set a career high for the junior as Nevada went up 77-67 with 3:23 to play. The Wolf Pack would go on to outscore the Gaels 57-32 in the second half to claim the 91-76 victory.

The Pack will continue play in the Great Alaska Shootout in Anchorage, taking on the Oakland Golden Bears on Wednesday at 10:30 p.m. PT.
