NEVADA, IONA TO PLAY FIRST ALASKA SHOOTOUT GAME IN RENO
• Nevada will face its second straight 2016 NCAA Tournament team when Iona comes to Reno Sunday at 5 p.m. The two teams will be playing the first game of the Great Alaska Shootout in Lawlor Events Center.
• The Gaels will come to Reno with just one game under their belt, a loss to Florida State. Looking back, Nevada and Iona are 1-1 all-time with Nevada claiming an 80-72 victory in the last matchup on Dec. 22, 2013.
• Nevada comes into the tournament off a big win over Oregon State, beating the Beavers 83-58 in Lawlor on Nov. 18. The win was the largest victory over a Power 5 school since Nevada defeated the Beavers, coincidentally, 75-47 on Nov. 15, 2006.
• Several Pack players surged in the game against the Beavers. Sophomore Cameron Oliver set a person record with 20 points in the first half. Sophomore Jordan Caroline recorded the team's second double-double of the season with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Oliver (24) and senior D.J. Fenner (17) set season highs in scoring.

• Nevada moved to 2-1 this season after beating the Oregon State Beavers 83-58 on Nov. 18.

• The 25 point win gave Nevada its biggest win over a Power 5 school since defeating the Oregon State Beavers by 28, 75-47, on Nov. 15, 2006.

• The victory over the Beavers on Nov. 18 gave Nevada its first win over a Power 5 school since defeating Washington 76-73 on Dec. 8, 2012.

• The Wolf Pack dominated the line on Nov. 18, making 20 free throws to Oregon State's three.

• Nevada has not trailed in the past two games.

• The Wolf Pack had four players in double digit scoring against OSU on Nov. 18 for the second straight game with Oliver (24), Fenner (17), Caroline (12) and Marshall (11). Elijah Foster (18), Marshall (18), Oliver (14) and Fenner (12) scored in double figures in the LMU game.

• The Wolf Pack is 18-3 under head coach Eric Musselman at Lawlor Events Center. The Pack has won its last seven home games.

• Not only is the matchup against Iona the first game of the Great Alaska Shootout, but its the final game of Wolf Pack Weekend, also including the basketball game against Oregon State and the football game against Utah State.

Cameron Oliver hit 11 points with more than half of the first period to play against OSU, the fastest a Nevada player had hit double digits all season. Oliver finished with a career-best 20 first half points. No Nevada player had hit 10 in the first half. D.J. Fenner also hit double-digit scoring in the first half with 15 points.

• Both Oliver and Fenner set season highs in points in just the first half of the game against the Beavers, ending with 24 and 17, respectively.

• Four Wolf Pack players are averaging more than 10 points a game: Marshall (18), Oliver (17), Fenner (13.7), Foster (10)

• The Wolf Pack's 23 point lead vs. OSU on Nov. 18 was its biggest advantage at the half this season.

• With his 10th rebound of the game against the Beavers with just more than 13:00 to play, sophomore Jordan Caroline earned his first double-double of the season. The forward finished the game with 12 points and a game-high12 rebounds.

• Oliver hit 20 or more points in a game for the seventh time of his career and the sixth time in the last 11 games.

• Caroline's 12 rebounds against the Beavers are the most for a Nevada player this season.

• Nevada shot 56 percent from the field against LMU.

• Sophomore Cameron Oliver recorded five blocks in the season opener against the Gaels. Oliver now has 106 career blocks.

• A total of three Nevada players recorded double-digit points at Saint Mary's, including Marshall (25), Oliver (13) and Fenner (12).

-A core group of six put in the effort at Saint Mary's. Marshall (36 minutes), Fenner (33), Caroline (33), Drew (31), Oliver (29) and Foster (22) saw the bulk of the playing time. Caroline started the second half and played all 20 minutes.

• The Wolf Pack is coming off a championship season after claiming the College Basketball Invitational title from Morehead State.
