RENO, Nev. - The Nevada Wolf Pack volleyball team (15-8, 6-5) ended a three game skid sweeping the Air Force Falcons (9-16, 0-12) Saturday afternoon 25-12, 25-17 and 25-23.

The Wolf Pack offense was led by junior Madison Foley, who racked up 13 kills. Just barely holding onto her streak of double-digit kills was senior Madison Morell, who finished the match with back-to-back putdowns to get to 10 on the afternoon. Senior Lyndsey Anderson put up 30 assists, while freshman Camille Davey led the team defensively with eight digs. Also helping the freshman show off was Shayla Hoeft, who put down seven blocks.

"I was able to find holes and was hitting high to get over their block," said Foley. "The win feels great, and hopefully we can take this and keep going in the right direction."

Nevada got off to a strong start in set one, going up 6-2. With Davey back to serve, the defensive specialist racked up four consecutive aces to give the Pack a 9-2 lead. The Wolf Pack continued to grow its lead until Air Force eventually called a timeout, trailing 17-5. Keeping the pedal on the medal and not looking back, the Wolf Pack claimed set one 25-12 with Foley leading the offense with five kills.

The Wolf Pack's momentum carried into set two, taking a 9-3 lead to start it off. The Falcons put up a fight, coming to within six at 12-6 and 14-8. Nevada wouldn't let the Falcons get any closer, taking the second set 25-17 with another strong performance from Foley.

Nevada trailed for the first time all match when it found itself down 4-1 to start the third set. The Pack continued to trail early in the frame, but closed the gap point by point as it inched closer to the Falcons. Air Force held the one to two point advantage until a block from Anderson and Hoeft, followed by a Morell kill, tied it up at 14. The Falcons retook the lead with the next point, but the set immediately tied up again at 15, and the two teams began a back-and-forth battle. At 18 all, the Wolf Pack went up two with back-to-back blocks from Hoeft, taking a 20-18 lead. After the Falcon timeout, the visiting team answered with two points of their own to tie it back up at 20, forcing the Nevada timeout. At 23-23, with both teams locked up, Morell went back-to-back to give Nevada the 25-23 win, finishing the sweep of the Falcons.

The Pack will take to the road again next week for a California road trip to face Fresno State and San Jose State.
