RENO, Nev. - Ian Seau, who capped his career as one of the most productive defensive ends in school history earned the Golden Helmet award as the Nevada football team's most valuable player during the 2015 season, head coach Brian Polian announced.

Seau was also named the team's Outstanding Defensive Player while sophomore running back James Butler earned the Outstanding Offensive Player award. Brent Zuzo was the team's Outstanding Special Teams Player.

Seau finished the season with 10.0 sacks, which is tied for the fifth most sacks in a single season in program history, and finished his career with 18.5 sacks, sixth-most in the Pack record book. He had eight 100-yard rushing games and closed his sophomore season with 207 carries for 1,342 total rushing yards, 6.5 average yards per carry and 10 touchdowns.
