ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Despite out-serving its opponent for the second-consecutive match, the Nevada volleyball team could not get by New Mexico as the Lobos topped the Wolf Pack, 3-1, on Saturday afternoon. Nevada went 1-1 on its first Mountain West road trip of the season.

Sophomore Madison Foley racked up a team-high 17 kills for the Wolf Pack (6-8, 1-1 MW) while Foley, senior Kara Kasser and junior Madison Morell each tallied three kills.

After dropping the first and second set, the Wolf Pack countered in the third. With the score tied at 13-13, senior Sommer King posted a kill off an assist from junior Lyndsey Anderson before Foley made it 15-13 on a service. The Dayton native had six kills and two of her three aces in the set that gave the Pack a 25-20 win in the third frame.

Nevada would keep it close in the fourth set, looking to tie the match at score at 2-2, but could not hold on. A kill from junior Kathryn Groenweghe tied the score at 14-14 before New Mexico pulled away to take the set, 25-20, and the match, 3-1.

Nevada will return home to take on Colorado State at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 1.
