Nevada's countdown to kickoff series will feature seven things you need to know for the upcoming football season, from information on the team and program to information about tickets and game day operations.

RENO, Nev. - The Nevada football team opens the 2015 campaign in just two days, hosting UC Davis on Thursday at 7 p.m. PT at Mackay Stadium. Listed below is information for fans to be aware of before making the trip to Mackay on gameday.

WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

• Gameday Ticket Information: Nevada's Lawlor Events Center ticket office - which is located at the entrance nearest 15th and Virginia Street - will be open on Thursday for gameday ticket purchases. Nevada's ticket windows at Legacy Hall is for will call tickets only.

Fans can also purchase tickets ahead of time online at NevadaWolfPack.com (ticket page) or by calling (775) 348-PACK.

• RV Parking Options: The Bonanza Casino - located on 472 North Virginia Street - is offering free RV parking. The location offers easy access to and from Mackay Stadium via the RTC Bus Route No. 7, which runs north and south on Virginia Street. Due to university classes being in session on Thursday, RV lots on campus will likely fill up quickly.

• Parking Updates: Nevada's Silver & Blue reserved lots will be open for parking all day on Thursday. All other permitted lots open four hours prior to kickoff. Due to construction of the E.L. Weigand Fitness Center, the parking lot south of Lawlor Events Center is no longer available. The Wolf Pack offers free parking on floors five and six of the West Stadium Parking Garage and at the lot near Peccole Park. Fans can see a complete parking guide for football games at this link.

• Classes In Session: The campus will be in session during gameday, which means the areas near Mackay Stadium could be congested prior to kickoff. Fans are asked to allow themselves a little more time to arrive to the game. Nevada's parking staff will be working diligently to both help university staff exit campus and fans enter campus prior to kickoff.

Sierra Spirit: An alternative to parking on campus is taking the Sierra Sprit shuttle from downtown Reno up to campus. The shuttle runs from a number of downtown stops up to campus every 15 minutes and is just 25 cents per person to ride. (Sierra Spirit video information)

• Forecast: Early forecasts are calling for a beautiful afternoon for the Wolf Pack to kick off the 2015 season. Thursday's high is listed as 78 degrees.
