Nevada's countdown to kickoff series will feature seven things you need to know for the upcoming football season, from information on the team and program to information about tickets and game day operations.

RENO, Nev. - When the Nevada football team kicks off the 2015 season in just three days, there will be a number of new features at Mackay Stadium. Fans can read the bullet points below to find out what new things to expect in and around Mackay Stadium this season.

The Wolf Pack opens the season on Thursday, hosting UC Davis at 7 p.m. PT. The game will be broadcast online on the Mountain West Network, powered by Campus Insiders.

What's New at Mackay Stadium:
Restroom facility: The first step of the Mackay Stadium renovation project is nearing completion, as a two-story, 2,800-square foot women's restroom facility has been built in the stadium's southwest corner. The facilities' first floor will be open for Thursday's game.

Sideline switch: The Wolf Pack has switched sidelines for the 2015 season and will now reside on the west sideline. This switch is to prevent both teams from crossing paths and being delayed leaving the field at halftime and at the end of the game.

Cannon in the NE corner: The cannon - which is fired before kickoff and after every time the Wolf Pack scores - has been moved to the northeast corner of Mackay Stadium.

Flyover: The Nevada Air National Guard will conduct a C-130 flyover prior to kickoff on Thursday's season opener.

Concessions: The concessions at Mackay Stadium will have multiple new products this season. A local company will offer a trip-tip sandwich stand, and the concessions will also have new beer selections on tap.

Construction on campus: Due to construction around Mackay Stadium and the campus being open during Thursday's game, fans are asked to allow themselves a little more time arriving and exiting the game. Nevada's parking staff will be working diligently to both help university staff exit campus and fans enter campus prior to kickoff.

Parking updates: Nevada offers free parking on floors five and six of the West Stadium Parking Garage and at the lot near Peccole Park. Due to the construction of the E.L. Weigand Fitness Center, the parking lot south of Lawlor Events Center is no longer available. Fans can see a complete parking guide for football games at this link.

Another alternative to parking is taking the Sierra Spirit shuttle from downtown Reno up to campus. The shuttle runs from a number of downtown stops up to campus every 15 minutes and is just 25 cents per person to ride.
