UC Davis at Nevada - Game Note Get Acrobat Reader

RENO, Nev. - The Nevada football team opens the 2015 season and year three of the Brian Polian era on Thursday, Sept. 3, against UC Davis. Kickoff between the Wolf Pack (0-0) and Aggies (0-0) is set for 7 p.m. PT at Mackay Stadium.

The season opener will be broadcast online via Campus Insiders and the Mountain West Network. The Wolf Pack Radio Network's Ryan Radtke and Kevin Grimes will call the game both on the online broadcast and on 94.5 FM (630 AM) in Reno.

SERIES HISTORY
Nevada leads the all-time series history with UC Davis, 29-21-3. The Wolf Pack has posted a 20-11-2 record against the Aggies at Mackay Stadium. These two teams have only met once in the past 25 years; a 36-7 Nevada victory at home on Sept. 7, 2013, which was the first victory of the Brian Polian era at Nevada.

PROGRAM HISTORY
Nevada enters its 109th season of collegiate football, seeking win No. 529 in the program's strong history. The Wolf Pack sports an all-time record of 528-461-33 (.534). Since joining the FBS in 1992, Nevada is 152-127 overall and 99-65 in conference play. Nevada has made 14 bowl trips in program history.

NEVADA TABBED FOR THIRD PLACE FINISH IN WEST DIVISION
The conference coaches voted Nevada to finish third in the MW West Division in the preseason All-MW poll. The Wolf Pack earned 113 points, finishing ahead of San José State, Hawai'i and UNLV. San Diego State earned 27 first place votes and 177 points overall to lead the West Division, followed by Fresno State. The reigning conference champions Boise State earned 177 points and was predicted to finish first in the Mountain Division. Utah State was voted second, followed by Colorado State, Air Force, Wyoming and New Mexico.
• In 2014, the Wolf Pack earned three first place votes and 130 points total, and was predicted to finish third in the West Division. Nevada went on to a 7-6 record, 4-4 mark in the conference and placed third in its division.
• In 2013, Nevada was predicted to place fourth in the MW Division before posting a 4-8 record, a 3-5 mark in league play and finishing fifth.

SEAU AND BOY NAMED TO PRESEASON ALL-MOUNTAIN WEST TEAM
Nevada landed two student-athletes to the Preseason All-Mountain West team, which was voted on by coaches at MW media days in Las Vegas. Senior DE Ian Seau and junior P Alex Boy represented the Wolf Pack on the preseason all-conference squad. TEAM CAPTAINS The Wolf Pack named senior RB Don Jackson, sophomore LT Austin Corbett, senior LB Jordan Dobrich and senior DE Lenny Jones its team captains for the 2015 season in a vote by players. Collectively, these captains have started in 62 career games. Dobrich becomes Nevada's first three-time captain in recent program history, while Corbett is just the second sophomore to be named a captain in recent Pack history. Jones has started in 20 games with 104 career tackles at Nevada. Jackson was named to the Doak Walker preseason watch list after rushing for 957 yards last season.
