RENO, Nev. - Before the Nevada volleyball team heads to Berkeley, Calif. for the Molten Classic for its first regular season matches of the 2015 season, the Wolf Pack will take part in the Silver and Blue Scrimmage, an intra-squad exhibition, on Saturday, Aug. 22, at 5 p.m. at the Virginia Street Gym.

The league's coaches picked the Wolf Pack to finish 10th in the Mountain West preseason poll, the conference announced on Thursday. Defending MW champion Colorado State received seven of the 10 first place votes while UNLV claimed two and Boise State and Wyoming each picked up one vote a piece. San Jose State was predicted to finish 11th in the poll.

Five starters return from last year's squad for first-year head coach Lee Nelson, a proven winner who has succeeded on the collegiate level as a student-athlete at UC Santa Barbara and as an assistant coach for the Gauchos and Miami.

One of those returning starters is senior Sam Willoughby, who is coming off a 2014 campaign where she led the team with a .283 hitting percentage and ranked second with 2.48 kills per set. The Jamul, Calif., native also led the Mountain West and the team in serving with .37 aces per set.

Looking to setup Willoughby in 2015 is setter Lyndsey Anderson. The Spanish Springs product ranked eighth in the Mountain West with 801 assists and comes off a summer spent in Europe with the MW All-Star Volleyball team.
