RENO, Nev. - Jay Anderson scored on Kyle Hunt's suicide squeeze bunt and No. 22 Nevada downed Air Force in walk-off fashion, 7-6, on Saturday at Peccole Park. The game was tied 6-6 in the 10th inning before being postponed due to rain on Thursday. After another rain-out on Friday, the game finally resumed today with Nevada quickly claiming the victory.

Junior LHP Christian Stolo started on the mound in the top of the 10th inning. He allowed a single and put two runners on base with a two-out intentional walk. The Reno native fanned his next batter to end the inning. Stolo collected the win on the mound, improving to 8-1.

Anderson led off the bottom of the 11th with a double to the right field wall. He moved to third on a wild pitch. With one out, Hunt laid down a suicide squeeze bunt to score Anderson for the walk-off victory.

The Falcons took an early lead with two runs in the first inning on Thursday. Nevada responded with six unanswered runs to lead, 6-2, but Air Force forced extra innings with two runs in the seventh and two in the eighth. Rain began falling in the ninth inning and into extras before the game was postponed after a scoreless 10th inning. Additional rain showers prevented the game from being finished on Friday.

Hunt, Kewby Meyer and Bryce Greager each had three hits in the contest. The Wolf Pack used five pitchers in the game with Stolo picked up the win after pitching the final inning. Sophomore LHP Trenton Brooks started, allowing four runs on four hits in 6.1 innings of work.

The second game of the series will be played 30 minutes after the conclusion of today's first game. There will be no third game in the series between Nevada and Air Force.
