TUCSON, Ariz. - The University of Nevada (2-3) women's tennis team fell 5-0 at Arizona on Friday afternoon. The Wolf Pack is now 2-3 on the season while the Wildcats improved to 2-0.

Nevada returns to action on Saturday with a 9:00 a.m. PT match against Sacramento State (1-2) in Tucson.

In singles action Sheila Morales (2-2) lost 6-3, 6-0 to the Wildcats Lauren Marker. In number 2 singles senior Juliette Legendre (3-1) fell 6-2, 6-1 to Arizona's Briar Preston. The number three and four singles matches were not completed as Arizona had already clinched the win. Sheila Smiley (4-0) was trailing Laura Oldman 6-4, 2-1 when the match ended and Blaga Delic (3-1) was behind 7-6.

The Wildcats Inge Hendrix defeated Monika Magusiak (1-2) 6-3, 6-0 in the number five singles match. Devin Chypyha won the number six singles over the Pack's Sara Korzeniecki (0-1) 6-3, 6-1.

The Pack's number 1 doubles team of Morales and Delic knocked off Preston and Austin 6-3. The Wildcats earned the doubles point winning the number 2 and 3 pairings.
