SERIES HISTORY
The Wolf Pack has posted an 8-20 record against the Cardinal in program history. Nevada last met Stanford on Feb. 26, 2008, in a game played at Sunken Diamond, falling by a 4-3 margin. One of Nevada's biggest nonconference wins in program history came against Stanford in 2000, when the Wolf Pack shocked the top-ranked Cardinal, 4-3, in Stanford. The win snapped Stanford's 19-game home win streak and provided their first loss of the season.
PERFECT START
Nevada made history Sunday with its 7-4 victory against Fresno State, becoming the first team in program history to open a season with seven consecutive victories. The Wolf Pack opened the season with a sweep at Abilene Christian before shocking fifth-ranked Texas Tech in Lubbock. Nevada began Mountain West play with a sweep of the Bulldogs to improve to 7-0. Nevada's previous best start was 6-0 in 1994 - a team that went on to win 41 games and the Big West Conference.
UNBEATENS
Out of 301 Division I teams, the Wolf Pack is one of 11 to boast a record of 6-0 or better.
NEVADA MAKES RANKING DEBUT
Nevada earned a No. 30 ranking in Monday's Collegiate Baseball Top 30 poll. The Wolf Pack is the only MW team represented in Collegiate Baseball's updated ranking. The Wolf Pack is also receiving votes in the National College Baseball Writer's Association's latest poll.
