Day One Results
SAN JOSE, Calif. - Senior Nikki Prichard and junior Caryn Khoo came out of 36 holes on Monday in the top 15 of the Juli Inkster Spartan Invitational at Almaden Golf & Country Club.
Prichard went 77-75 on Monday and is tied for 12th heading into Tuesday's final round and Khoo, after a 76-77, is a shot back and tied for 14th. Sophomore Jordan Keyser is five shots back of Khoo and tied for 26. Her day was highlighted by an eagle during the second round.
Nevada, at 623 for the tournament, is seventh out of 10 teams at the tournament, which will conclude Tuesday with the final 18 holes. The Pack is only seven strokes behind third-place Boise State (616) with Fresno State (597) leading the way, followed by host San Jose State (609).
Keyser's eagle was the first of her career at Nevada and second by a Pack player this year as Prichard recorded an eagle earlier this season. It was the 26th eagle in Nevada's history since the program began in 1997.
Freshman Celyn Khoo (T-32nd) and senior Bethany Wurster (T-46th) round out the Pack quintet at this week's event.
Nevada was ninth after the first round as the Wolf Pack shot 318 as a team. Caryn Khoo led the way in the first round with a 76 and Prichard was just a shot back with a 77 but Nevada saw 82 and 83 as it's other counting scores for the round.
