RENO, Nev. -The University of Nevada will hold an open tryout for Nevada students on Wednesday, March 11. The coaching staff will be evaluating every defensive position and every offensive position, except for quarterbacks.
Any quarterbacks, kickers, punters, or long snappers that wish to try out for the team must wait until March 31. Details for that tryout are yet to be determined.
The tryout is only open to currently enrolled, full-time (at least 12 units) University of Nevada students.
Every participant must bring the following materials on the tryout date (forms linked at top of this page):
- Completed Nevada sports physical form.
- Results of a sickle cell blood test. This test does take a few days to process so the test must be completed in advance as results are required in order to participate.
- Nevada proof of insurance form, including copy of insurance card.
- completed Nevada waiver form.
Registration begins at 2:30 p.m. on March 11th with the tryout set to begin at 3 pm at Mackay Stadium. Participants should arrive with all documentation listed above, identification and proper workout gear.
