TUCSON, Ariz. - The 70th ranked University of Nevada (0-3) men's tennis team dropped its first match of three being played in Tucson, Ariz. this weekend 5-2 to Northern Arizona (1-2) on Friday. With the loss the Wolf Pack is 0-3 on the season while NAU won for the first time to improve to 1-2. The match was played at the Reffkin Tennis Center.

Nevada returns to action tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. at the University of Arizona (5-5). The Wildcats have won its last four matches.

"In our first match outdoors this season we were flat today," head coach Erik Burton said. "We need to find our confidence."

The Pack started the day winning the #2 doubles pairing as Fernando Sunago and Andrew Poustie defeated NAU's Jordan Gobatie/Alexandre Locci 6-2. NAU even the doubles action as the #3 team of Felix Schumann/Eden Peleg won 6-0 over Peter O'Donovan/Mile Cilic. The Lumberjacks #1 doubles team of Kester Black/Adi Zilberstein won 6-3 over Moez Chargui/Robert Allen to earn the doubles point.

Zilberstein earned the first point in singles downing Nevada's Cilic 6-3, 6-1 in the #6 singles match to give the Lumberjacks a 2-0 lead. The Pack's Ryan Andrada defeated Gobatie 6-3, 6-2 in #6 singles to earn Nevada's first point of the day. Chargui won the #2 singles over NAU's Black 2-6, 6-2, 6-2 to even the score a two.

That would be all the scoring for the Pack as NAU won the final three singles matches to keep Nevada winless. Schumann won the #5 singles match over O'Donovan 6-7, 7-5 and 6-1. In the #1 singles matchup Peleg defeated Poustie 7-6, 1-6 and 6-1. Locci won the final match at #4 singles knocking off the Pack's Allan 2-6, 6-4 and 6-2.
