RENO, Nev. - Junior outside hitter Madison Morell, one of the top offensive players for the Nevada volleyball team and in the Mountain West this season, has been named to the 2015 All-Mountain West volleyball team, the conference announced on Monday.

The postseason honor is the first for the Plano, Texas native and is the first Nevada player to be named to the All-MW team since Tessa Lea'ea in 2012.

Morell ranked second in the conference with 3.88 kills and 4.50 points per set. Her league best .47 service aces per set helped the Pack become the top team in the MW with the serve. She finished the season ranked in the same slots in those offensive categories in conference play and her eight double-doubles ranked 11th in the conference.

In Nevada's win over No. 25 Wyoming on Oct. 3, the Wolf Pack's first victory over a top 25 team in nine years, Morell posted a career-high 31 kills, a single-match high and the only 30-plus kill performance in the Mountain West in 2015. Morell also racked up 27 and 25 kills in wins over Fresno State and UNLV, respectively. Those totals are the fourth and eighth most kills in a single match in the MW this season.

Morell led Nevada in kills, aces and points in the most successful season for the Wolf Pack since 2010. Along with setting her career-high in kills in the upset of the Cowgirls, Morell registered single-match highs with 28 digs against Portland (Sept. 4), four blocks in the win over Montana State (Sept. 12) and a .375 hitting percentage (20-5-40) in a conference victory against Utah State (Oct. 17). Morell also matched her career-high of four service aces three times against San Jose State (Nov. 18), Kent State (Sept. 19) and at Air Force (Sept. 24).
