HONOLULU (AP) DJ Fenner scored 16 points and Nevada pulled away in the second half on Friday to defeat Coastal Carolina 73-56 in the Rainbow Classic, making a winner of Eric Musselman in his college coaching debut.

Marqueze Coleman had 14 points, Cameron Oliver had 13 in his first collegiate game and AJ West had 12 points and 11 rebounds for the Wolf Pack.

The Chanticleers led 23-21 at the half but the Wolf Pack shot 53 percent in the second half when Coleman scored all of his points and Fenner had 10 to take control.

Badou Diagne had 15 points and Jaylen Shaw 13 for Coastal Carolina.

Musselman won 566 of 906 professional games in four different leagues before signing on with Nevada.

The Wolf Pack turned 17 Coastal Carolina turnovers into 20 points and got 27 points off their bench.

• First-year Wolf Pack head coach Eric Musselman led Nevada to an 73-56 win over Coastal Carolina at the Outrigger Resorts Rainbow Classic on Friday.
• It was Musselman's first win as a collegiate head coach.
• Four Nevada players scored in double figures led by junior D.J. Fenner's 16 points. Fenner made a career-high three 3-pointers in the game
Marqueze Coleman scored 14 points, freshman Cameron Oliver added 13, and senior AJ West contributed 12.
• West, who averaged a double-double last season, had his first of the year with 12 points and a game-high 11 rebounds. It was his 17th career double-double and 22 double figure rebounding game.
• Sophomore Elijah Foster made his first career start and played 12 minutes.
• Freshman Lindsey Drew started his first collegiate game and totaled four points, a game-high six assists, two blocks and three steals. Drew did not commit a turnover.
• Drew played a game-high 38-minutes
• Freshman guard Juwan Anderson was the third newcomer to play tonight.
• Nevada won the rebounding battle 46-45.
• The Pack had 13 assists compared to eight for CCU.
• Nevada plays Montana State on Sunday at 4 p.m. PT in the Outrigger Resorts Rainbow Classic.
