Nevada looks to bounce back at Fresno State Saturday: After dropping three in a row Nevada (6-11, 2-3 MW) looks to bounce back in a Mountain West game at Fresno State (9-10, 4-2 MW) on Saturday at 4 p.m. FS started the Wolf Pack's skid winning 69-66 back on Jan. 10 in Reno. FS had a season-high four-game win streak snapped in a 70-65 triple overtime loss to MW leading Wyoming at home in their last game. Saturday's game will air on the American Sports Network and can be seen in Reno on KAME.

LAST GAME VERSUS FRESNO STATE: Nevada Falls Short to Fresno State, 69-66 RENO, Nev. (AP) Marvelle Harris scored a career-high 40 points in leading Fresno State to a 69-66 victory over Nevada on Saturday.
Harris, who has 12 games of at least 20 points this season, opened the second half by scoring 16 of Fresno State's first 17 points as the Bulldogs (8-9, 3-1 Mountain West) extended an eight-point lead to 53-40.
Nevada responded with a 16-3 run and
Eric Cooper tied the game at 56 with a 3-pointer with 3:55 to play. An 8-2 spurt got the Bulldogs back up by six, 64-58, with 27 seconds left. Nevada closed to 66-65 on a three-point play by
Marqueze Coleman with four seconds left but Harris made two free throws and Paul Watson one and that was enough.
Coleman finished with 19 points and
AJ West 16 points, 10 rebounds and eight blocks for Nevada (6-9, 2-1), which saw a four-game win streak end.
WOLF PACK LAYUPS Nevada has lost three in a row after winning a season-high four consecutive games.
The Wolf Pack's 56-point loss at Colorado State is the second largest losing margin in school history. The largest was 62 points at St. Joseph's on Dec. 15, 1971, 128-66.
Nevada snapped an eight-game losing streak defeating Marshall 83-55. The streak was the longest since the 2012-13 team dropped its final eight games of the season.
The Wolf Pack scored 80 or more points in three consecutive games versus Marshall (83), Northwest Christian (81) and Air Force (80). Nevada has not scored 70 in any other game this season.
The win over Marshall was the 350th for the Wolf Pack at Lawlor Events Center and Nevada has now won 352 at the home venue built in 1983. Nevada is 352-133 at LEC for a winning percentage of 73.
Nevada's 39.4 field goal percentage defense ranks 57th nationally. The Pack rank seventh averaging 15 offensive rebounds per game, ninth grabbing 40.82 total rebounds per game, 27th blocking 5.2 shots per game, 42nd with 89 total blocks, is 63rd averaging 25.82 defensive rebounds per game, is 41st with a plus 5.4 rebound margin and 61st with 694 total rebounds.
Senior guard
Michael Perez received his bachelor's degree in communications from Nevada on Dec. 6. Perez has scored 506 points at Nevada. Adding in his two seasons at UTEP he has scored 846 points in his college career.
In two of the last three games Perez has not scored. Those are the only two games in his Pack career in which he did not score.
Junior forward
AJ West stretch of three consecutive double-doubles ended at Colorado State when he had 10 points and nine rebounds. He scored a career-high 18 points against Utah State and finished with a game-high nine rebounds or the streak could have been five. West has four double-doubles in the last seven games. His six double-doubles is second in the MW and 38th nationally. He has eight career double-doubles.
West has scored in double figures in the last seven games. The seven games he is averaging 15 points, 10.4 rebounds, 3.4 blocks and is shooting 57.7 percent from the field.
West is second nationally averaging 5.56 offensive rebounds per game. His 9.4 rebounds per game ranks 26th, 3.19 blocks per game is eighth, 151 rebounds ranks 53rd and 51 total blocks is 16th.
West's 18 rebounds vs. Adams State is the top game in the Mountain West this season while his 15 at UNLV is tied for second.
In 11 of Nevada's 17 games West has either posted or tied for game high honors in rebounds.
West tied his career-high with eight blocks in the Fresno State game. He had eight blocks at FS last season. He has a block in each game played this season and two or more in 12 games.
Three Nevada players average double figures in scoring; West (12.1 ppg), Fenner (10.7 ppg) and
Marqueze Coleman (10.6 ppg).
West has scored in double figures a team high 12 times, Coleman in 11 games , Fenner nine times and
Michael Perez in eight contests.

Eric Cooper, Jr. one.
Fenner scored a career and game-high 24 points at Pacific, 20 coming in the second half. It is his first 20-point game and only one for a Pack player this season.
Fenner's seven times leading the team in scoring is tops on the squad with West second with six.
Fenner missed his only free throw attempts in the Utah State game which snapped a streak of 15 consecutive makes. He has made 39-of-42 free throws in the last 12 games. He ranks fourth in the MW making 81 percent of his free throws and 129th nationally. He has made all 14 of his 15 free throw attempts in MW play and is third in percentage at 93.3.
Criswell scored a season-high 12 points at Pacific and vs. Fresno State. Criswell is the top scorer off the bench averaging 6.9 points per game. In the last eight games he is averaging 8.8 points and 4.5 rebounds per game. In the last eight he has three double figure scoring games.
Junior forward
Lucas Stivrins made his first start of the season at Pacific and produced career highs with nine points and nine rebounds. The nine rebounds was a game high.
Perez dished out a career and team season-high eight assists in the Air Force victory.
Freshman forward
Robyn Missa has started the last eight games and scored a season-high nine points in the Air Force game.
The Pack had season-highs in points (83), field goals made (31), rebounds (59) and tied the season high in assists (18) in the Marshall game.
Freshman
Eric Cooper, Jr. scored a season-high 12 points at UNLV making 4-of-6 three-pointers. The four made three-pointers is the high by a Pack player this season. Cooper's three with 1:04 to play at UNLV put the Pack up 61-60.
The Pack has outrebounded 11-of-17 opponents on the season, six by double figures. Nevada outrebounded Weber State by 20, Omaha by 10, Marshall by 24, Northwest Christian by 17, Air Force by 13 and Utah State by 12.
The Pack got a season-high 30 points from its bench in the win over Marshall. Nevada gets 18.4 points off its bench as does its opponents.
In 10 of the Pack's games this season the bench has outscored its opponent; vs. Clemson (19-12), Weber State (16-9), at Omaha (20-15), Cal (24-7), Cal State Fullerton (13-11), Marshall (30-18), NWC (26-22), at UNLV (25-9), vs. Fresno State (23-6) and Utah State (19-14).
Perez has started all 49 games of his career and Fenner has appeared in all 49 games of his career.
Nevada's bench has scored in double figures in every game other then when the Pack totaled six at LBSU.
The Pack averages 26.8 points per game in the paint, 14.4 second chance points, 7.1 points of fast breaks and 10.3 off turnovers.
FRESNO STATE GAME TO AIR ON KAME IN RENO: Nevada's game at Fresno State will air on KAME in Reno on Saturday at 4 p.m. The Mountain West matchup is be show on the American Sports Network and will be broadcast locally on KAME. Daron Sutton will provide the play by play with Tom Kuyper serving as analyst.
With the game airing on local television the broadcast will not be shown in Northern Nevada on NevadaWolfPack.tv or the Mountain West Network.
CARTER SIXTH IN WINS AT NEVADA: Nevada's six wins this season has moved head coach David Carter from eighth in career victories at Nevada into sixth with 95. The Marshall win broke a tie with Len Steven's (1987-93) for sixth. Sonny Allen (1980-87) is fifth with 114 wins.
Carter is now 95-86 in his sixth season leading the Wolf Pack. With five more wins he will become the sixth coach at Nevada to reach 100 career victories.
NEVADA 2-3 IN MW PLAY: Nevada started Mountain West play 2-0 but three consecutive losses has the Wolf Pack 2-3 after five games of conference action. Currently the Wolf Pack is eighth in the standings in the 11-team conference.
In its third season in the conference Nevada has posted a 15-24 overall mark.
The Wolf Pack has experienced highs and lows in the conference in first two full seasons of MW play.
In 2012-13, the first year in the conference the Pack were picked to finish fifth in the preseason media poll and ended the season ninth with a 3-13 record. The Pack lost to Wyoming in the MW Championship play-in game.
Last year the Pack were picked to finish ninth in the preseason media poll but posted a 10-8 conference mark to tie for third. Nevada lost to Boise State in its first game of the MW Championship.
The Pack were picked to finish eighth in the 2014-15 MW preseason poll.
UNLV and NEW MEXICO GAME TIMES SET: The time for Nevada's home game with UNLV has been set for 7 p.m. on Jan. 24 in Reno. The game will air on ESPN3.
The time for the Feb. 14 home game with New Mexico has also been announced for 7 p.m. and will be shown on ESPN2.
WEST AMONG NATIONAL LEADERS: Junior forward
AJ West tops the team averaging 12.1 points, 9.4 rebounds and 3.2 blocks per game. In the Pack's last game against Utah State he scored a career-high 18 points, grabbed nine rebounds and blocked three shots. West ranks 12th in scoring, first in blocks and second in rebounding in the MW. In conference play he is seventh in scoring (15 ppg), first in blocks (4.0 bpg) and first in rebounding (11.2 rpg).
West has scored in double figures in the last seven games and posted four double-doubles in the stretch which included three in a row In each of the last two games he was one rebound short of double-double which would have given him a streak of five in a row. He has six double-doubles on the season and eight in his Pack career.
In the last seven games he is averaging 15 points, 10.4 rebounds, 3.4 blocks and is shooting 57.7 percent from the field in 28.1 minutes per game.
Against Fresno State he tied his career high with eight blocks that also came against the Bulldogs at FS last season. He blocked six shots at UNLV, two at CSU and three against Utah State giving him 19 in the last four games. The 6-9 shot blocker has a block in every game this season and two or more in 12 games.
West is second nationally averaging 5.56 offensive rebounds per game. Nationally West is 26th in rebounds per game (9.4 rpg), eighth in blocked shots per game (3.19 bpg), 53rd in total rebounds (151) and 16th in total blocks (51). His six double-doubles is 38th in the country.
West has all six of Nevada's double-doubles on the season. His first double-double of the season of 17 points and 18 rebounds came against Adams State. The 17 points was then career high and the 18 rebounds is his career high. The six double-doubles is second in the MW.
The 18 rebounds versus ASC is the top game in the MW this season and 15 at UNLV is tied for second. On the season his seven double figure rebound games is second most in the conference.
His eight blocks against Fresno State is the best games in the MW this season.

FENNER AMONG PACK'S LEADERS: Starting sophomore guard
D.J. Fenner has struggled not reaching double figures in last four games and scored a season-low two points in the Utah State game. Despite the struggles Fenner is among the Pack's leaders ranking second on the team and 20th in the MW averaging 10.7 points per game. In the last four games Fenner is averaging five points, is shooting 19.4 percent from the field and has missed all eight of his three-point attempts.
Fenner produced the Pack's only 20-point game of the season at Pacific scoring a career and game-high 24 points. He scored 20 of the points in the second period.
Fenner is fourth in the MW making 81 percent of his free throws. He missed his only free throw attempt in the USU game which ended a streak of 15 consecutive makes. In the last 12 games he has made 93 percent of his free throws connecting on 39-of-42 attempts. In MW play he has made all 14-of-15 his free throw attempts and ranks third making 93.3 of his charity tosses.
In addition to posting a game-high with 24 points at Pacific he tied for the honor with 17 points at Long Beach State.
His seven times leading the team in scoring tops the team. Fenner scored in double figures the first four games of the season and nine times on the year. The nine double figures scoring games is third on the team.
Fenner has appeared in all 49 games of his career and started every game this season.
COLEMAN EARNS HIS SHOT: After two years playing behind all everything guard
Deonte Burton,
Marqueze Coleman's time to start has come for the 6-4 point guard. Coleman spent his first two seasons watching Burton and coming off the bench to either play beside or spell the schools number two all-time scorer.
Coleman followed in Burton's footsteps at UNLV hitting the game winner at UNLV with 4.8 seconds to play as the Pack defeated the Rebels 64-62. Burton was known for his game winners during his Pack career.
In the last two games he has totaled 15 points and made 29 percent of his field goal attempts.
Twice in a recent three-game stretch he scored a career high. He had 18 points versus Air Force then two games latter netted 19 versus Fresno State. He has scored in double figures 11 times which is second on the team.
His 10.6 points per game is third on the team. In MW play he ranks 17th scoring 11.2 points per game. He is second on the team dishing out 2.2 assists per game.
DEFENSIVELY SOUND: Offensively Nevada is struggling shooting 38.6 percent from the field but the defense ranks 57th in the country allowing opponents to shoot 39.4 percent. The Pack's top defensive performance was in the Marshall game when the Thundering Herd shot just 25.8 percent from the field.
Omaha and Colorado State are the only opponent to shoot 50 percent or better in a game this season. Nine opponents were held below 40 percent; Cal Poly (31), Adams State (33.8), Long Beach State (31.8), Cal (39.3), Pacific (39.7), Marshall (25.8), Northwest Christian (37.1), UNLV (35.3) and Fresno State (38.6). Seton Hall (40.4), Weber State (40.4), Clemson (45.2), Cal State Fullerton (41.2), Air Force (46) and Utah State (45.8) shot 46 percent or less versus the Pack.
PEREZ SCORES 500TH POINT: Senior guard

Twice he has led the team in scoring this season and three times during his career. In the Weber State game he scored a team and season-high 15 points and 13 in the Northwest Christian game is his second best scoring game of the season.
Eight times on the year he has netted double figures which is fourth most on the team. In his career he has reached double figures 28 times in the Silver & Blue.
STEVENS AND STIVRINS ADDING TO FRONTCOURT: Two of the Pack's frontcourt upperclassmen are contributing in year two in the program. Senior

Lucas Stivrins have contributed primarily coming off the bench.
Steven's has made two starts on the season versus Weber State and Cal State Fullerton. At UNLV and versus Fresno State he scored six points in each game. At UNLV he grabbed a season-high six rebounds. He is averaging 3.1 points and 3.3 rebounds in 15.1 minutes per game. In the Cal game he scored a season-high eight points and grabbed five rebounds.
Stivrins earned his first start of the season and third of his career at Pacific. He produced career bests with nine points and nine rebounds at Pacific. The nine rebounds were also a game high. He is averaging 2.1 points and 2.6 rebounds on the season. At Omaha he scored a then career-high eight points and grabbed five rebounds.
BENCH SCORING IN DOUBLE FIGURES: Nevada's bench is averaging 18.4 points per game and opponents are also averaging 18.4 points per game. The Wolf Pack bench was a key to the win at UNLV outscoring the Rebels' reserves 25-9.

Junior guard
Tyron Criswell is the team's top scorer off the bench averaging 6.9 points per game. Criswell's season high in points is 12 at Pacific and at home versus Fresno State. He has four of the Pack's five double figure scoring games off the bench. In the last eight games he is averaging 8.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, is shooting 48 from the field and 37.5 percent from behind the arc in 18 minutes per game. In the Clemson game he netted 11 points that tied
D.J. Fenner for team-high honors.
Freshman
Eric Cooper, Jr. had his breakout game at UNLV reaching double figures for the first time scoring 12 points by making 4-of-6 three-pointers. The four made three-pointers is the high by a Nevada player this season. On the season he is averaging 4.0 points per game off the bench playing both guard positions.
Sophomore transfer
Kaileb Rodriguez started the first eight games at forward. Rodriguez is averaging 2.9 rebounds and 1.5 points in 15 minutes per game.
Freshmen forward
Robyn Missa has started the last eight games and is averaging 3.1 points and 2.9 rebounds in 13.6 minutes per game on the season. In the Air Force contest he scored a season-high nine points making all three field goal attempts including one from behind the arc and both free throw attempts.
Freshman forward
Elijah Foster has seen action in nine games off the bench and scored in four. In the Marshall win he posted season-highs with six points and seven rebounds in nine minutes off the bench.
