Final Stats

Fullerton, Calif. - The University of Nevada women's tennis team fell to Cal State Fullerton Saturday afternoon giving the Titans a 4-3 non-conference victory over the Pack. The Pack is now 1-1 including their 7-0 win yesterday at UC Riverside in their season opener.

Sheila Morales came out strong in her first set against Alexis Valenzuela winning 6-2, but Valenzuela came back to even the match with a 7-6 win (8-6 tie-breaker) before finishing with a 6-2 final victory over Morales.

Fullerton won the doubles point but the Pack won three of the first four completed singles matches to leave the score 3-2 in favor of Nevada. Fullerton tied it at 3-3 when Camille De Leon broke service in the final game of the No. 2 singles and won 6-3, 4-6, 6-4 with a drop shot for the winning point against the Pack's Juliette Legendre.

The Pack returns to competition January 30th-31st in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The Pack will play in their first conference match against New Mexico, then the following day play North Texas.
