USAFA, Colo. - The Nevada men's golf team finished sixth after the final round of the Gene Miranda Invitational, hosted by Air Force.

After shooting back-to-back rounds of 292 as a team, Nevada improved in the final round and shot a one-over 289 and tied for sixth with UMKC. This was the Wolf Pack's first tournament of the 2014-2015 season.

Freshman Grant Booth shot a three-over 75 and finished tied for 14th. This was Booths first collegiate tournament. Senior Nicholas Smits finished tied for 29th after shooting an even-par 72. Freshman Jooho Lee also shot an even par-72 and finished tied for 38th.

Freshman Corey Eddings shot the lowest round on the team in the final round with a one-under 71, and finished tied for 38th. Sophomore Kit Carson finished tied for 50th.

UNLV won the tournament with a 26-under 283. UNLV's Taylor Montgomery won the individual tournament with a 10-under 206.

Nevada will be back in action in two weeks when they play at the Ram Masters Invitational.
