RENO, Nev. - The Nevada women's basketball staff is putting on a two-day 'Growing Our Game' coaching clinic on Oct. 10-11. Highlighted presenters include WNBA head coach Cheryl Reeve and Courtsessions Basketball owner and operator Edward LeBlanc, a player development specialist.
The two-day clinic will feature skill development sessions and hands-on drills by Reeve, LeBlanc and members of the Wolf Pack women's basketball coaching staff including head coach Jane Albright, associate head coach Camille Williams and assistant coaches Kami Malnaa and Julie Rousseau. Sessions and drills will be broken down according to skill level and will be held at either Lawlor Events Center or the Virginia Street Gym, both of which are located on the University of Nevada campus.
On Saturday from 12 - 2 p.m., coaches attending the clinic will have the opportunity to take in and observe a Wolf Pack men's basketball practice, led by head coach David Carter.
Reeve is currently the head coach of the WNBA's Minnesota Lynx and is an assistant with USA women's basketball. She is a two-time WNBA champion and was named the league's Coach of the Year in 2011. Reeve has posted a 140-59 overall record in five WNBA seasons with Minnesota and has been involved with the women's professional league since the 2001 season.
LeBlanc's Courtsessions Basketball company is a skill development based business based out of Portland, Ore.
