Final results 
MARICOPA, Ariz. - The Nevada women's golf team finished ninth on Tuesday at the Cowgirl Classic, hosted by Wyoming at the Ak-Shin Southern Dunes Club.
Nevada was lead by sophomore Carly Simpson and junior Bethany Wurster who both tied for 22nd with 12-over 228.
Sophomore Caryn Khoo finished tied for 46th with a 17-over 233. Senior Joyce Chong finished tied for 58th, and junior Nikki Prichard finished tied for 66th.
Nevada as a team finished in ninth with a 54-over 918 after shooting a 311 in the final round.
New Mexico State won the tournament with a 23-over 887. Santa Clara's Annie Freeman won the individual tournament after a playoff to decide a three way tie.
Nevada will be back in action in two weeks at the Mountain West Championship in Palm Springs, Calif.
