UNIVERSITY PLACE, Wash. - The Nevada men's golf team finished eighth after the final round of the Redhawk Invitational, hosted by Seattle University.
Nevada shot a 296 in the final round and finished with a 21-over 865 for the tournament.
Junior Nicholas Smits fired a three-over 73 in the final round and finished tied for 19th with a three-over 214. This is Smits' fourth top-20 finish of the season.
Senior Josh Baskins finished tied for 25th with a five-over 216. Freshman Rhyne Jones and senior Ryan Mulvany both finished tied for 34th, and senior Brian Knoll finished tied for 64th.
UCLA won the tournament with a nine-under 835. San Diego's Grant Forrest won the individual tournament with an 11-under 200.
Nevada will be back in action next week to participate in the EL Macero Classic in Auburn, Calif.
