PALO ALTO, Calif. -- The University of Nevada men's tennis team had its six-match winning streak stopped on Monday, as it fell to No. 66 Stanford by a score of 5-2.

The Wolf Pack (11-3, 0-1 MW) had been winners of six straight until its meeting with the No. 66 Cardinal on Monday, who improved to 5-2. Nevada couldn't snag a doubles victory, and was 2-for-6 in singles play in the loss.

"We didn't show up in doubles today," said Erik Burton, Nevada men's tennis head coach. "It is illuminating to compete with a very strong team. It shows where our strengths and weaknesses as an individual and as a coach are at, and inevitably where we are headed and where we can be."

Moez Chargui took one of the singles wins for the Pack on court two, as he outlasted Daniel Ho, 5-7, 6-4, 1-0. Andrew Poustie snatched the other, as he bounced Trey Strobel 2-6, 6-4, 1-0.

The Wolf Pack will be in action again when it returns home to host UC Davis on Friday, March 28 on the courts of Caughlin Athletic Club at 1 pm.
