PHOENIX, Ariz. - The University of Nevada men's tennis team ended day two, at the 2014 Grand Canyon Invitational, with another 6-2 record. With six victories on the day, the Pack will head into day three with finalists in the A draw for singles and doubles.

It was a great day for Moez Chargui and Andrew Poustie in singles action. Chargui has been undefeated in the tournament thus far adding another singles vitory to his Nevada men's tennis all-time singles wins. He defeated UCI's Pham, by a score of 6-1, 1-6, 6-3, putting him in the singles flight 1 championship game on Sunday. Chagui will be going up against his fellow teammate, Poustie, who has also been undefeated in the tournament thus far. Poustie defeated NAU's Gobatie, by a score of 6-1, 6-3, putting him in to the the singles flight 1 championship game against Chargui. The two will battle it off starting at 9am on Sunday.

With a tough loss to start off day one, Fernando Sunago has been nothing but perfection since. Ending his day with a well deserved victory, he defeated UCR's Viszcarra, by a score of 6-1, 6-4. Sunago had more left in him by day two, defeating NAU's Lee, by a score of 6-0, 6-3, advancing him as a finalist in the slingles flight 2 bracket against ACU's Agritelley on Sunday.

In doubles action, the dynamic duo Poustie and Sunago have been nothing but perfect. So far, with an undefeated weekend together, they are will play in the doubles championship match on Sunday. The duo dominated all day on the court, defeating GCU's Kuehnen and Legarreta, by a score of 8-3. In the next round they defeated GCU's Maroscher and Chazeau, by a score of 8-6. That last victory put them in the championship match against UCI's Pham and Hammel on Sunday.

The four players that competed this weekend have made a statement thus far. "We are coming into our own as the fall comes to an end" head coach Erik Burton said. Tomorrow will be a vital day for the pack, with two chamionship matches and one finalist match.

Day three will start with doubles competition at 9am on Sunday, November 9th.
