Nov. 6, 2014 RENO, Nev. - For the second consecutive season, junior linebacker Jordan Dobrich has been named to the Capital One CoSIDA Academic All-District team for District VII. Dobrich is a two-time team captain who carries a 3.9 GPA in Nevada's engineering program.
Academic All-District honorees advance to the Capital One Academic All-America Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be selected later this month.
The Magalia, Calif. native ranks fifth on the team in tackles with 41, which includes a sack for a loss of 15 yards in the Wolf Pack's week two victory over Washington State. In week nine against Hawai'i, Dobrich blocked the Nevada's first field goal in six years, a 32-yard attempt in the first quarter.
On top of last year's CoSIDA Academic All-District honor, Dobrich is also a two-time Academic All-Mountain West selection.
Nevada will be off this Saturday with a bye before returning to action on Nov. 15 at Air Force. Action will get underway at 11 a.m. (PT) from Falcon Stadium.
