Final Results Get Acrobat Reader

LAS CRUCES, N.M. - Junior Carly Simpson registered her first top-20 finish of the season after finishing tied for 15th at the Price's New Mexico State Invitational, hosted by New Mexico State.

Simpson fired off a one-over 73 in the final round, and finished with a two-over 218. She also registered her lowest round of the season in this tournament with a one-under 71 in the first round.

Junior Caryn Khoo shot a two-over 74 and finished tied for 29th with a six-over 222. Senior Nikki Prichard finished tied for 34th with an eight-over 224 after shooting a two-over 74, her lowest round of the season.

Freshman Celyn Khoo finished tied for 39th and senior Bethany Wurster tied for 64th.

Nevada as a team finished 10th with a 25-over 889 after posting a 295 in the final round. Nevada also finished first in pars with 177 as a team and fifth in Par-4 scoring.

Idaho won with a 14-under 850. Grand Canyon's Charlotte Jaengkit, BYU's Lea Garner and Idaho's Kaitlyn Oster won the individual tournament with a 10-under 206.

Nevada will be back in action at the end of October when they travel to Las Vegas to play in the final tournament of the fall season.
