Oct. 5, 2014 Results Davis, Calif. - The University of Nevada men's tennis team had a tough run on the final day of the Aggie Fall Invitational.
Ryan Andrada battled in the semifinal match against Stanford's Nolan Paige, who retired due to injury. Andrada advanced to the finals where he was defeated by Cal's Mads Engsted, by a score of 6-0, 6-2.
Senior Robert Allan and freshman Robert Margitfalvi faced each other in the semifinals. Both battled, but at the end of the hard fight Margitfalvi took the victory over Allan, by a score of 2-6, 6-3, 7-5. Margitfalvi advanced to the finals where he was defeated by UC Davis' Bryce McKelvie, by a score of 6-1, 4-6, 1-0.
"We lost both finals but had very good overall success this tournament." head coach Erik Burton said. "The smoke days, we lost valuable time on court and conditioning that would have helped us finish stronger this weekend."
The Pack returns to play in regionals on Oct. 15 in Las Vegas, Nev.
