SAN JOSE, Calif. - Behind a balanced offensive attack that saw freshman Madison Foley and senior Tessa Lea'ea reach double-digits in kills, the Nevada volleyball team swept San Jose State, 3-0, in conference action on Tuesday evening.

The Wolf Pack's 11 team aces was the second-most in a three-set match for a Mountain West team this season. Senior Donna Greely and junior Kara Kasser each tallied three aces in the victory.

Junior Sam Willoughby had four of her nine kills in the first set while Lea'ea posted four kills and two blocks to propel the Pack (6-14, 3-7 MW) to a convincing 25-16 victory in the first frame.

Nevada only led by one, 17-16, in the second set before embarking on an 8-1 run that was capped off by back-to-back kills from Greely to close out the frame and give the Pack a 2-0 advantage in the match.

A kill from Foley gave Nevada its largest lead of the third set, 20-14, but the Spartans would come back to knot it up at 23-23 late in the frame. An attack error from the home team and another kill from Foley sealed the set and the 3-0 sweep.

Nevada will next return to Reno on Saturday, Nov. 1, for a conference tilt against Fresno State at 1 p.m.
