LOGAN, Utah - Playing in its final road game of the season, the University of Nevada soccer team suffered a 4-0 Mountain West loss at Utah State Sunday afternoon.
The Aggies (10-6-2, 6-3-1 MW) got a pair of quick, back-to-back goals in the first half to take the early lead over the Wolf Pack (4-14-1, 1-9-0 MW). USU's Lauren Roundy got her team on the board first in the 12th minute, taking a pass towards the center of the net and sending the ball high into the back of the net. Utah State tallied its second goal of the match a minute later from Wesley Hamblin.
Utah State managed to get two more across the line before the game concluded. Katie Flynn provided the Aggies with some breathing room in the 59th minute, putting her team ahead by three. USU struck for one more near the end of the match in the 82nd minute.
Nevada was outshot 17-7 in the game and did not register a shot on goal. Pack goalkeeper
Devyn Bryar, the league's leader in saves, stopped five shots.
Nevada will conclude its 2014 season this Friday, Oct. 31 with a Governor's Series contest against in-state rival UNLV at 7 p.m. Prior to the start of the game, Nevada will honor its five-member senior class.
