Box Score Oct. 25, 2014 Box Score
After Nevada dropped the first set, 25-18, the two teams went back-and-fourth in the second set where there were 10 ties and three lead changes. After a kill and an ace from senior
Donna Greely and a kill from Willoughby that gave the Pack a 7-4 lead, the Falcons proceeded to go on a 5-0 run to give themselves a 9-7 advantage. But Nevada would not back down as they would come from behind again to tie the score at 18-18 late in the set thanks to a kill from Foley. However, the Pack would go on to score only two more points in the set as Air Force gave itself a 2-0 heading into the break.
It was a different story in the third set though as Willoughby recorded eight of her 18 kills in the frame. The Pack, who hit .457 in the set, led wire-to-wire and saw its largest lead balloon to seven with the final tally, 25-18.
Nevada could not capitalize though as the Falcons claimed the fourth and deciding set, 25-16, to take the match, 3-1.
Nevada will return to Reno before heading back out on the road to face San Jose State on Tuesday, Oct. 28 at 6 p.m.
