Box Score Oct. 17, 2014 Box Score RENO, Nev. - Freshman Madison Foley totaled a game-high 14 kills and sophomore Lyndsey Anderson recorded her seventh double-double of the season as the Nevada volleyball team topped San Diego State, 3-1, at the Virginia Street Gym on Thursday evening.
Senior Tessa Lea'ea recorded 13 kills and sophomore Kathryn Groenweghe had six kills on 13 attempts to bolster the offensive attack in the middle for the Pack (5-11, 2-4 MW).
Anderson started off the match with three service aces and forced the Aztecs to call a timeout with the Pack up 4-0. Nevada led the set wire-to-wire and would go on to claim it convincingly, 25-14.
A kill from Foley was followed by a solo block from sophomore Madison Morell which flipped a Wolf Pack deficit into a lead, 21-20. With the score tied at 23-23, Lea'ea posted her sixth kill of the match and a solo block to give Nevada a 25-23 lead heading into the break.

The Pack will next be back in action at the Virginia Street Gym on Saturday, Oct. 18 at 1 p.m. where it will face UNLV in the first event of the 2014 Governor's Series presented by NV Energy. The winner will receive 1.5 points in the quest for the Governor's Cup.
