RENO, Nev. -
Nevadawolfpack.com recently sat down with Wolf Pack soccer freshman defender Katherine Davison to ask a series of questions.
Nevada Wolf Pack: Kat, you started and had a significant amount of playing time in your first match this past weekend as a freshman. How did you feel out there?
Katherine Davison: I was a little nervous leading up to the match starting, but once the game got going the nerves went away and it was a blast being out there with the team.
NWP: After playing in your first collegiate match, what are your thoughts on the the level of a high school soccer match compared to a division I game?
KD: The college level pace is much faster. The speed of play was the biggest difference.
NWP: How was your first Wolf Pack soccer training camp during the summer?
KD: The first week or so I battled an injury, so it was difficult not being able to play every day. Once the injury healed, it was one of the most challenging things I have ever gone through. It definitely prepared me for the season.
NWP: As a native of Flagstaff, Ariz., talk about your first impressions of Reno and the Northern Nevada area.
KD: Reno has many similarities to my hometown. Both are beautiful places. I haven't really had a chance to explore yet, but I enjoy being out near the river downtown.
NWP: Five quick questions for you...Favorite Food?
KD: Mac and Cheese
NWP: Favorite Movie?
KD: Peter Pan
NWP: Favorite TV show?
KD: Modern Family
NWP: Song that pumps you up before a match?
KD: "Hall of Fame" by The Script
NWP: Favorite Soccer Player?
KD: Sergio Ramos
NWP: Do you tweet?
KD: Yep, kdavison20
Davison and the Wolf Pack will look to bounce back from a season opening loss to USF last weekend with matches against Eastern Washington and Wright State Friday and Sunday.
