        Final Stats
BOISE, Idaho. - The University of Nevada men's tennis team couldn't maintain a hot start on Friday, falling to No. 44 Boise State by a final score of 5-2 on the road.
The Wolf Pack (9-11, 1-4 MW) fell to the Broncos (17-9, 5-1 MW) in its final road contest of the regular season. Nevada jumped off to a hot start by winning two of the three doubles matches to take an early 1-0 lead, but collected only one singles victory to close the day out. Despite the tough day for the Pack, head coach Erik Burton knows they can right the ship before the Mountain West Championships begin next weekend.
"WE need to put this day behind us and focus on Sunday," he said. "San Diego is a tough team, but we will come out firing on senior day and get some needed momentum."
The lone singles victory came from junior Victor Ouvrard, as he rolled past Nathan Sereke in position two by a score of 6-3, 6-4.
In doubles, the pair of Ouvrard and Robert Allan brought home one victory, powering past Aidan Reid and Freddy Walsh 8-7 in position three. In position two, it was Andrew Poustie and Fernando Sunago who were victorious, as they also won their match 8-7 against the pair of Garrett Patton and Scott Sears.
The Wolf Pack will return home for senior day on Sunday against San Diego State, where hometown star Philip Hinojosa will be honored. The Aztecs come in with a 17-7 record, including a perfect 5-0 mark in Mountain West play. They have won their past four matches, and have five players have notched double digit singles victories this season, including two players who have 15 wins apiece. In doubles, the team of Derek Siddiqui and Andranik Khachatryan leads the Aztecs with a 9-5 record from position two.
The showdown with San Diego State will begin at 1 p.m. at Caughlin Club, the home courts of the Wolf Pack.
