RENO, Nev. -
Nevada Match Notes Week Seven
Fresno State Notes
The University of Nevada soccer team (3-5-3,1-1MW) heads to Fresno Calif. for a match with Fresno State Friday evening at Bulldog Stadium. Kick-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
"Every game in the season counts, but every Mountain West game seems to count a little more when every team is trying to get points to qualify for the conference tournament," head coach Dr. Melissa Price said. "Every Friday and Sunday we go into the game thinking about how we are going to get our three points. As we prepare to play Fresno State, that is the outcome that we are working towards and training towards."
Nevada trails the overall series with Fresno State 1-12-3. The last time the Wolf Pack defeated the Bulldogs was during the 2005 season in a 4-2 decision at home. Fresno State enters the match with Nevada riding a three-game skid.
Following the match at Fresno State, the Wolf Pack will remain on the road for a contest Sunday afternoon against San José State. Kick-off is 1:00 p.m. at Spartan Stadium. The Wolf Pack trails the Spartans 4-10-1 in the overall series. Nevada defeated San José State 1-0 on the road last season.
