WAC Championships, Day Two Get Acrobat Reader

HENDERSON, Nev. - Kevin Lucas moved up one spot in the standings with a second-round 74 and the Nevada senior is tied for 11th place heading into the final round of the Western Athletic Conference Championships.

Lucas is 3 over for the tournament, which is being played at Rio Secco Golf Club outside of Las Vegas. He is 11 shots off the lead held by New Mexico State's Justin Shin at 6-under 138. Freshman Zak Griffiths had Nevada's low round of the day with a 73 and he sits tied for 17th at 5 over for the tournament.

Taylor Knoll shot 77 and fell back to a tie for 2nd while Brian Knoll (80) is tied for 30th and Gustavo Chuang (81) is 40th.

San Jose State took over first place after the second round a 291 on Tuesday. First round leader Idaho dropped to fourth place (287-303--590) with a 15-over par 303 in the second round. New Mexico State took over second place (293-290--583) after shooting a 2-over par 290, while Fresno State is third (287-301--588) after carding a 13-over par 301 on Tuesday. Hawai'i is in fifth place (304-298--602), Nevada is in sixth (301-304--605), Utah State sits in seventh place (294-313--607) and Louisiana Tech remains in eighth (304-305--609).

The three-day tournament concludes on Wednesday with the final-round tee times beginning at 7 a.m.
