Cowgirl Classic, Day One 
CHANDLER, Ariz. - Freshman
Nikki Prichard carded an even-par 72 and is tied for sixth place individually at the 24-team Wyoming Cowgirl Classic being played Ocotillo Golf Resort.
As a team, Nevada fired a 7-over 295 on Monday. Nevada is just six strokes behind tournament-leading Iowa (289). Colorado State is in second place at 292 with Sacramento State third at 294.
Prichard's 72 led a strong effort by the Wolf Pack on Monday.
Louise Yi and
Joyce Chong each shot 74 and are tied for 14th while senior Alex Borcherts put up a 3-over 75 and is tied for 28th. Freshman Taylor Bickell (85) rounded out the Pack squad.
Iowa's Kristi Cardwell and Colorado State's Brianna Espinoza lead the medalist race after each shot 68 on Monday.
The tournament resumes on Tuesday and concludes on Wednesday.
