Don Marchand interview with coach Powers

RENO, Nev. -University of Nevada (19-16) head baseball coach Gary Powers will be seeking his 900th victory when the Wolf Pack hosts San Francisco (16-23) at Peccole Park on Tuesday at 2 p.m. Powers won his 899th game on Sunday after the Pack completed the three-game Western Athletic Conference sweep of Louisiana Tech with a 4-3 victory.

Powers is his 30th season and has a career mark of 899-721-5, all at Nevada. Nationally he ranks 21st among active NCAA I coaches in victories.

Nevada is slated to start right hander Troy Marks (0-3) on Tuesday while USF freshman lefty Christian Cecilio (1-4) gets the start for the Dons.
